What is Journalistic Writing?

The Journalistic style of writing, while familiar to some, is unlike anything you'll find in a standard English class. All of these differences stem from the AP Style Handbook, which contains almost every writing custom a journalist needs. Whether it's writing dates or eliminating the Oxford comma, this book has everything a journalist needs when writing. Beyond format, though, a Journalist's piece of writing goes through many stages to end up on the pages of the magazine, growing from a simple idea to a fully laid-out piece of work. In order to demonstrate this process, I will be displaying the production process of A Battle of Bias.
